I started this thread so that we could keep all of our fantasy football talk seperate from the NFL thread.
So, if you're playing in the Chiefs League John needs you to so to the league page and sound off about the draft order.

Thanks! I read your post order and I am with you, it'd be nice to know where you are drafting sooner than 30 mins before the draft. I don't know how bad I want the first pick though so it might be out of the hat. I will wait for more league members to post.

I'm fine with out of the hat, but will do what the majority wants. I just hope that the majority doesn't want the 30 minutes notice option.
What number would I be if we do the first responder method?

I believe you would be 3rd.

Out of the hat, or first responder, either way for me.

the commissioners note has been updated. In an unrelated story, I am sad to say that the NFL went against better judgement and elected Goodell the next commissioner as opposed to the much better choice of me. :D

Any new members to the League allowed or is it already set?? :( Since I am a Buffalo Bills fan, you know, I would have placed second  Good luck in your Chiefs League.

Gene the league is set, no open spots. There is a league member running another yahoo salary cap league.
League number is 1430
PW is yahoo.

Thanks JPIII. I was going through some of the other boards and if I came across the NFL board I would have known a long time ago. Good luck this year.

Just want to remind you guys that the draft is Monday night at 8 EST. Hope everyone that can be there is. If not set your autodraft! I am still willing to part with the #1 pick, but I haven't received any offers. Also, a little trash talking never hurt anyone...

JP3,
Your Commish Note and your last post indicate the draft is 8 PM, but on the league page, it is listed as 7 PM EST. Are you telling everyone 8 in hopes to get all the players you wanted???? :D
I'd rather have it at 7 myself....guess I have to go out and buy some fantasy magazines.

I would prefer 7 also, but it really doesnt matter just let me know. Remember that RB's are a dime a dozen and you really need to get your kickers and defense in the first couple of rounds! Both Mannings, LJ and Alexander have retired. Choose carefully! :D

4PM PST, I thought EST was 4 hours ahead but I guess right now we're only 3, damn Benjamin Franklin and his Daylight savings time! :D
We will leave it at 7PM EST.
Trivia question, which East coast state that touches the Atlantic and which West coast state that touches the Pacific are only one hour difference? Don't cheat and use the internet and while your at it, if you drove from the Atlantic to the Pacific, what is the least amount of states you could travel through?

JP3,
I would guess about 9 or 10 states between coasts. (Wa to Pa) Now about the 1 hour time diff between Atl & Pac you got me on that, no idea how it's possible.
P.S.
Remember tomorrow is the draft, so make sure you refer to rule #8.
"Kickers go fast, you want to take one early. Don't worry about RB's, you can always trade for one later. By the way Manning retired."
I love that commercial!!! :D

I'm guessing that if you drive through Canada, you don't go through any states from the Atlantic to Pacific.

Alaska and Maine. The chain crosses the date line. I think.

Just alittle help for anyone who is going to live draft tonight. You may want to print the attachment and use it during the draft. Good Luck All!

That is nice of you to do this for us Dave. Are you sure this is your first time doing a fantasy draft???

I just read somewhere this may be a good idea. :D It should be setup for this format now.

Dave are you trying to snow-ball us? You make it look like we have to start 2 QBs? Checking the league settings, we only start one, and have 6 subs. Glad I checked the league settings before the draft! :D

After a pretty horrid fantasy (and real) football season for me I figure I can try to salvage my season in the playoffs. Rather than getting everyone's email and sending out invites, I figured I would post this here for anyone interested.
I just signed up for the SportsLine Playoff Challenge, and I'm inviting
you to start a team and play against me!
I've set up a private "buddies" page to track our team's performance
against each other, and against the rest of my "buddies" group.
To join my group, please click on the link below. The SportsLine
Playoff Challenge is really easy to play, and you can invite a bunch of
people to play too!
