Mike, good luck out there and have fun. How many 8s and 9s do you have in your class? I was once told they didn't like to put many/any in the January class because it was the last chance for those competing for the SWE.

We had only 1 E-9 in Class CLV back in November...the rest were all 7's.

Lost 4 people for weight.

OK, So why are we still losing people to weigh? I seems to me that a person will know or at least should know, prior to thier arrival, if they meet the weight standard or not.

The real question is how did they "skate by" the regular weigh in's... They obviously had been doing it for quite a while.

I wonder how many were in the "M" program? ;)

I can't wait until units are put under the gun. There is a requirement in the orders that say the member MUST be weighed in prior to execution of the orders... and be in compliance.

I would love to see a mandate that says if a member shows up over, officer in charge of the person would get some sort of punitive letter for falsifying official documents. Perhaps if a couple Logistics Department Heads were relieved for cause, all units would wake up and take this seriously.

Jerald, since it is already in the orders that members must be in compliance with the weight program, I'd say the mandate is already there.. just not enforced.

Actually, the requirement is that CPO Tub O. Lard is weighed in and is within requirements. What I want is that if CPO Lard shows up and is over (like the three for this class... 7% over?!?! Come on!!), then not only is he/she sent home, but the OFFICER that oversees the program should be spanked as well. There is NO way that these three people made weight in the 30 days prior to going to the CPO Academy. Somebody lied. That somebody should be keel hauled.

I'd say CWO Lazy the Admin Officer failed , as did his supervisor Commander Overlook ...

Meanwhile CPO Tub O. Lard could care less since his supervisors don't care or enforce the regs... ya think?

Mike, how many different ratings are represented? Which if any are you missing?

Mike- Hi and congrats on being in the class.

If there's anything I appreciate about being in Petaluma are the killer hills during my miles long bike rides and the 15 (or is it 10?) percent discount at Whole Foods for CG members...couldn't get it back here in DC.

I may have detested sucking wind and hyperventilating throughout the ordeal but it sure made my bike rides back here a whole lot easier- I no longer shift gears during my commute or leisurely rides except for one "Texas Rd" type of hill (9 percent grade) in a neighborhood around here.

Have fun and stay safe.

Just graduated last night. What a time, I really enjoyed my 33 days. I meat some great folks and learned some valuable lessons. The dinner was one of the greatest nights of my life. I don’t see how people can be bitter about going, nothing but good times and great people.

Congratulations Class CLVI.
This is the first Grad I've attended since mine in 2001. It was a pleasure attending with fellow Chief's and OIC's from Sector SF.
Now that Im this close Im gonna try to get to as many as possible.
Again, Congratulations.

I gotta admit, last night was a great time. Good ceremony and good friends.

The graduating class had obviously become very close during their 33 days together.
