My XPO is hoping for that class. Just a heads up, three people were sent home this past weekend for being overweight..... apparently the CPOACAD is still weighing people that first weekend. Any rumors that you can skip that weigh-in should be ingored..........

They feed you a nice spaghetti meal the night before with all of the works, then they weigh you the following morning. Have just the salad.:D

Wray, this year it will be compliments of individual CPOA Chapters or other Chiefs Associations, who are being asked to help National with money savings. The newly formed Cape May Chiefs Association has rogered up for this classe's welcome aboard dinner.

I started gaining during my back to back 87 tours (excellent cooks!) when I would eat 3 square meals a day, mid rats, and then some....but I'm back down to my fighting weight now! Bring on the cake and spaghetti (sp?) dinner!

Seth, they've sent 22 people home after that initial weigh-in during the last seven classes, so ..... going by averages...... three people that break bread with you that first night won't be eating with you come monday night. You hear some of them blame last night's meal, .... inevitably you'll hear someone say that they weren't overweight when they left at their unit..... My XPO will be out there with you, maybe the two of you could get together and test the effects of gravity near the scales in Petaluma. There must be some incredibly complex scientific reason why people are deemed overweight once they report. You should look into it. Some people lose inches in heighth and wrist size in the air during the first 48 hours out there......it's amazing......

Stu - I hear you on loosing inches of height and wrist measurements...I don't know how many people in the past that I have seen incorrect info recorded into Direct Access on their height and wrist measurements, thus throwing their MAW out of whack!
As for the increase of gravity in Petaluma, your XO and I may have to do some research!

I'm telling ya Seth it's true. The beer flows out of the bottles faster out there than most other places. But don't worry that gravity thing also helps you get "home" each night, because the Chiefs barracks is just down the hill from the club.

I think the main reason for the Spag dinner is so you can carb load before the 1.5 mile run the next day.
Remember you will get out as much as you put in.
Have fun

10-4!
The more BM's we can get there the better. If not, we'll have to put up with Shawn's airdale stories the whole time! Knowing him, he'll probably arrange for a few flyovers too!

I've come to enjoy the downhill "roll" each night! As a matter of fact, I'm headed up there in a few minutes for some wings and beverages of choice and to watch 'Bama whoop Miss State!
