Do many (if any) individual units have their own websites?

Dennis,

I know some of the bigger aviation units do. Some have links in CG Central. Others link off of the District sites. For example, below is Borinquen's. One is the main link and then you can click on the 2nd one to see the base newspaper that comes out each week. Is this what you're refering to?

We made a website when I was at Station Portland, OR. I don't think it's been updated in awhile...

Wasn't there recently a message that now requires CG unit websites to use a standard format?

I had a website for Station Chatham when I was there, put a lot of effort into it.

Jeff is correct, all CG websites that reside on the CG server must meet the "branding template" soon (I think July 16th). Those sites that don't meet the branding template will be removed. There should be a bunch of sites that disappear once that happens.

I believe they are trying to get a standard feel for the web pages. Most units have moved their's to CG Central, which is unfortunate since you can only access on the CG intranet.

Are you permitted to have a unit website that is not on the CG server?

I suppose anyone can make up a unit website. But if it's the official website, i.e., on the server, it will need to follow the template.

We are presently on an extended out of hemisphere deployment, and have a PA who is TAD and set this up.
