Can anyone direct me to where I may find info on shipboard emergency egress policy and/or procedures.

Jeff,
I'm not sure if there is a CG wide policy or not, but every Cutter I was on had it's own policy. It was usually in the SOP/SORM or EO's standing orders. On the last 378' I was on, a newly reported member was not allowed to spend the night onboard until they completed the egress training. They had to show that they knew how to properly don an EEBD and egress from their assigned rack and primary workspace. Normally after they had seen the OOD and MAA they were handed off to the EOW/DCA for this training.

Craig,
Would there not be CG policy on what the cutters policy must cover?

Is it possibly a requirement from an NSTM? 79 is basic Damage control so it might be there. I don't have those manuals at an ESD.

Thanks, I don't have one at home, either.

I was going through my last DCPQS from the Chase (2001-2004) and 303.2.18 states "Use emergency escape routes from berthing and working spaces while wearing a blindfold" it references NSTM, CH 79(V2) and 61-1D (NWP?)

Perfect. Thanks, Pat. That's all I needed.
